Excellence recognised
3 October 2009
Hearing Aid Solutions has been recognised by the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals at an awards ceremony in Cambridge.
Martyn Scott, who runs the Carmarthen-based business, was presented with the Association’s Centre of Excellence award at the event compèred by AIHHP chairman Richard Moss. The awards were presented by Radio 5 Live sports commentator Stuart Hall.
Mr Scott’s company is one of only 35 independent practices in the UK and the only one in Wales to be recognised with the Centre of Exellence accolade.
He said: “We we also invited to join the AIHHP. This means we meet the highest standards of care and support and our clients can have total confidence in the service.
“By being independent we can offer an unbiased hearing aid service as we are not bound to any one manufacturer or owned by any one retailer of hearing aids.
“We are delighted to be recognised in this way. It is testimony to the efforts of staff to ensure they offer the best in hearing care.”
Hearing Aid Solutions opened three years ago and since then has steadily expanded its number of outlets. Recent openings in Cardiff, Swansea, Pontypridd and Bridgend bring the number of centres to 11, stretching from Cardiff Bay to the Pembrokeshire coast.

About Hearing Aid Solutions
Hearing Aid Solutions was established in 1997 in Carmarthen, and has become Wales’ largest independent Hearing centre, with locations in Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Fishguard, Lampeter, Llandeilo and now Swansea.
Being independent, we are not tied to, or owned by any company or manufacturer, which means we can use the most appropriate hearing system available for the patient.
We are proud to be the only member of AIHHP (Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals) in Wales, reassuring you that our practice offers only the highest standards of care and services available.
Using the latest in digital technology, we make sure each individual’s needs are catered for. We also follow up each new fitting at least twice to ensure patient acceptance and benefit, not only after the fitting, but for the life of the hearing instrument, arranging free regular six monthly reassessments.
Martyn Scott is an ex-National Council member for the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, and is a Council Member for AIHHP.
