Carmarthen business commended for high standard of service
2 October 2009
Martyn Scott, of Carmarthen-based Hearing Aid Solutions has been commended for his high standards of service.
He attended a ceremony with other professionals from the industry who were also in line for an award in the Rayovac Audiologist of the Year Awards 2008 which recognise service above and beyond expectation.
Mr Scott was nominated by one of his customers, surgeon Dr Wendy Christian. She said: “I have tried hearing aids throughout my life, but Martyn took the time to find me an aid that worked and had the patience to allow me to adjust to the new device and the determination to see it through.
“Without his professional help I would still be struggling to function in a hearing world. He definitely deserves this award, as I am certain he takes the same care with all of his patients,” she said.
Mr Scott said: “Although Hearing Aid Solutions didn’t win, we were delighted to have been put forward. To know that we have helped someone and made a difference to their lives is reward enough.”

About Hearing Aid Solutions
Hearing Aid Solutions was established in 1997 in Carmarthen, and has become Wales’ largest independent Hearing centre, with locations in Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Fishguard, Lampeter, Llandeilo and now Swansea.
Being independent, we are not tied to, or owned by any company or manufacturer, which means we can use the most appropriate hearing system available for the patient.
We are proud to be the only member of AIHHP (Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals) in Wales, reassuring you that our practice offers only the highest standards of care and services available.
Using the latest in digital technology, we make sure each individual’s needs are catered for. We also follow up each new fitting at least twice to ensure patient acceptance and benefit, not only after the fitting, but for the life of the hearing instrument, arranging free regular six monthly reassessments.
Martyn Scott is an ex-National Council member for the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, and is a Council Member for AIHHP.
